The Benefits of Shaking Up Your Routine

While on the topic of shaking up routines, I want to tell you about a FREE masterclass I’m hosting on Thursday, September 20th 2018 @ 8pm EDT / 5pm PDT.

We can get pretty stuck in our ways, especially when it comes to food.  When this happens it’s tough to figure out how to change the way we eat, and how to find our way out of the cycle of starting a new diet every Monday morning only to find ourselves with zero willpower around that bag of chips by the following weekend.

I’m going to be sharing my BRAND NEW 3 life-changing secrets to conquer your stress, willpower, and the all-or-nothing mindset to quit dieting forever, and I’m SO FREAKING EXCITED to jump into this with you!

There have been a lot of requests for a deep dive into this topic, because so many women come to me struggling with cravings, beating themselves up for feeling guilty about what they eat, tired of being super restrictive and not trusting themselves around food.

If this is you, you’re not going to want to miss this masterclass.  Plus, I’ll be answering ALL questions live!

FALL SEASON BRINGS US BACK TO OLD ROUTINES

The transition from summer to fall has had me thinking a lot about routines.

Some of us react better to more structure in our lives than others, but the benefits of routine in general are undeniable.  Between building automation and efficiency, reducing decision fatigue and actually having the potential to positively impact our willpower and motivation, routines can be incredibly helpful.

The downside is when we get a little too stuck in our ways.  We’re so deep in a routine that we don’t even realize it’s basically an unconscious behaviour, and that there might be a better way to do things.

Moreover, one of the many things we often all love about summer is the lack of routine, or at least a major shift outside of our standard day the other 9 – 10 months of the year.  More play, different foods and meals, keeping different hours and a totally different schedule.

It can be one of the things we look forward to most about summer, a break from our otherwise normal reality.  So why not take some of those summertime habits and use them to shake up our everyday routine the rest of the year?  Why do they have to be limited to the summer?

Routines can be a helpful habit, or they can hinder our progress and hold us back because things are so much more comfortable in routine.

I’m challenging you to step outside of your old routines and shake things up with even the smallest shifts for big results.
